Founder's Story

Built by experienced power systems engineers

RenSolv was founded by two power systems engineers who care deeply about good engineering, good relationships, and the future of the energy sector.

Our story

Between us, we bring expert research, more than 30 years of industry experience, and experience of running businesses in the same field. Our capabilities complement each other, which allows us to offer broader support and better value to our clients.

We started RenSolv because we wanted to work differently. We wanted to provide high-quality technical support without unnecessary layers of bureaucracy. We wanted to be responsive, approachable, and open-minded in the way we solve problems.

Most importantly, we wanted to combine research, practical experience, and innovative thinking to help clients overcome technical barriers and move projects forward.

We are passionate about power systems and about helping build a greener, more efficient future. We enjoy solving difficult problems, exploring better solutions, and making life easier for the people we work with.

Dr Muhammad Ali

Dr Muhammad Ali

Dr Ali is a power systems specialist with over 15 years of experience in the UK energy sector. He specialises in power systems modelling and analysis, grid connection matters, and offshore wind farm design. His specialities include:

  • Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design studies for offshore wind farms.
  • Load flow, harmonics, fault level, dynamic compliance, and power quality assessments.
  • Support for renewable, conventional, oil and gas, and complex industrial projects.

He helps clients identify capacity, resolve constraints, and develop technically and commercially viable solutions. Outside work, he enjoys walks, hikes, and playing tennis.

Dr Daniel Gheorghe

Dr Daniel Gheorghe

Dr Daniel is a power systems specialist with strong experience in advanced network analysis, innovation, and automation. His specialities include:

  • Renewable and conventional grid connections, flexible connections, and compliance studies.
  • Curtailment assessment studies for developers.
  • Innovation across active network management, state estimation, inverter synchronisation, and smart grid applications.

He brings strong technical capability in modelling, scripting, and practical tools that improve engineering efficiency. Outside work, he enjoys fly-fishing and exploring nature.
